An update from our President Rebecca Kempton
In response to the Covid-19 outbreak, all club meetings are postponed until further notice. At the moment, this affects all events and club nights through March, April and May. Our committee will re-assess the situation at the end of April and update our calendar then.
Through this lockdown period, we can still enjoy our photography. It is a time that our love of photography will be one of our most enjoyable creative outlets. A time to learn, experiment and capture your world as you see it in your home. Still life, portrait, nature, macro, documentary and structure could be some ideas to keep you busy.
That’s all for now. Stay safe and keep an eye on the government COVID19 website for safety information.
Who we are
The Wairarapa Camera Club is a friendly and relaxed group. We like to share and discuss our photographs, and ideas and skills related to all things photographic.
We encourage the practice and study of photography through competitions, instruction, practical sessions, at meetings, club outings and trips away throughout the year.
Even though we are called Wairarapa Camera Club, our emphasis is less on cameras than on the practice, skills and art of photography. Nevertheless we do, from time to time, run ‘how to’ workshops on aspects of camera work and the processing and presentation of photographs.

We meet monthly on the first Tuesday of the month, from February to November, at 7.30pm sharp.
We aim to finish the formal part of each meeting by 9pm. We then have supper, with informal discussions and exchanges of ideas, tips, and challenges!
